Me, Myself and... I

Well, it turns out that Oprah never picked me and maybe my assumptions were all wrong. The episode that I attended with my gal pal aired this past Monday and as I patiently waited for my 0.2 seconds of fame, sadly, it never came. Although the Oprah show did not show me as the young face in the crowd, she definitely showcased two other young and eager fans throughout the course of the hour. Oprah also made a brief joke about how the men who attend the show don’t “get” the obsessive love and admiration that their wives have for Oprah. The cameras then picked out all the bashful husbands, boyfriends, male friends and fans in the audience. The strategy (or lack of one) is unclear – maybe Oprah is simply into audience placement and not into camera placement.
